How You'll Make Impact:As an IT Asset Analyst you'll work alongside Product Owners, IT Managers and Procurement to streamline the software and asset purchasing at Xero, while balancing our users needs with that of the Xero business. You will understand software and hardware spend budgeted to the Enterprise Platforms cost centre and work alongside Finance to ensure due diligence is followed with every purchase.You will work collaboratively with the IT support teams, Procurement and the wider Xero business to ensure that the correct systems and processes are in place for all IT assets and software to be properly managed.The IT Asset Analyst works closely with other teams to measure and understand optimisation and efficiency opportunities, and be a champion of the Technology group's vision to drive increasing efficiency in software spend. You will be seen as a person of knowledge, relied upon to communicate clearly and constructively; partnering with the Operational Excellence Manager and team to develop and maintain an ongoing ITAM program of work consistent with the organisation's strategy. You are articulate, succinct and pragmatic in the description of requirements and solutions, and you take a human approach to change.You'll be outcome obsessed, and be able to step back and view a system as a whole to understand where optimisation efforts will have the greatest benefit. You'll also be able to use this knowledge to make clear recommendations on the prioritisation of spend, and assist stakeholders to plan and operate accordingly.What You'll Do:Working alongside the leadership team in Enterprise Platforms, you will partner with Technology, Finance and other teams across Xero to identify and successfully deliver ITAM initiatives.Provide teams with data, analysis, insights and advice.Measure and understand where bottlenecks are across ITAM processes and identify optimisation opportunities and ensure integrity of processes.Maintain policies, processes, systems and measurements that enable Xero to manage its software and hardware portfolio.Manage renewals for Software Support the management of the full lifecycle of IT assets and conduct regular asset reviews, track performance trend/data, and identify and lead process improvement efforts where necessary, utilising applications such as Agiloft, OneTrust and Torii.Provide key stakeholders with easy to digest, tailored reports on licensing and spend.Work closely with Finance to understand software purchases outside of the process eg. PCard and spend.Mitigate risks associated with licensing non-compliance. Identify the need for, and establish, ongoing reporting cadences to the IT Leadership Team, Finance and Procurement to ensure they can make informed decisions.What Success Looks Like:Viewed as a source of expertise in the software and asset management space IT assets and software purchases are managed in an efficient and cost effective manner.Critical thinking is applied to all purchases and correct processes are followed end-to-end Cost management will always be at the forefront of everything you do.All IT assets and software are correctly scaled to match the Xero business Software licensing managed by IT have thresholds in place, so licensing limits are never exceeded Cost Per Employee figures are trending down.Great stakeholder feedback You're having fun, while growing and learning in the role, and doing the best work of your life!
