As an Engineering – Mechanical Trade Apprentice, you will embark on a comprehensive learning journey to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the field of mechanical engineering. Under the guidance of experienced mentors and industry experts, you will work towards obtaining the MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade through a combination of on-the-job training and online course components. In addition to gaining a nationally recognised qualification, you will also receive full product and service training to support you in building the best possible foundations for your career at Pirtek.
Key Responsibilities: Apprenticeship: Completing all online course components, undertaking and completing on-the-job training, attending in-person meetings and training as required.Technical (under supervision): Assembling material transfer hoses and tubes, assembling component parts, operating hand and small power tools in a safe manner, providing assistance to Mobile Service and Sales Technicians, completing all paperwork, timesheets, job cards or related documents accurately and in a timely manner.Customer Service: Assisting customers with queries in-person or over the phone.Other: Attending regular and ad hoc meetings as required, participating in all company training, displaying an ongoing commitment to the 8 Pirtek Promises in all interactions with colleagues and customers, providing routine reporting as scheduled and ad hoc as required, and any other tasks as directed by Management.Quality (ISO 9001): Ensuring compliance with quality policies, procedures, practices and management directions, participating in training as directed by your supervisor and/or manager.Work Health & Safety (ISO 45001): Contributing to discussions or requests for feedback, taking reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues, ensuring compliance with WHS policies, reporting any injury, incident, hazard or near-miss to your supervisor and/or manager immediately.Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: A genuine interest in the mechanical engineering discipline.Sound language, literacy, and numeracy skills.Ability to use a computer and learn new systems.Strong work ethic and pride in the quality of your work.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Commitment to providing good quality customer service.Reliable and punctual.Neat and tidy presentation.Ability to display confidence in representing Pirtek.A willingness to learn and undertake training as required.Must have the right to work in Australia.Previous experience or knowledge of the hydraulic hose industry and the products used within this position is advantageous.
