Role Overview:
We are seeking an Investment Manager to oversee the full investment cycle, from sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities to executing and managing investments. This role is crucial in driving our mission of economic independence for Indigenous Australians.

Key Responsibilities: Assist in developing portfolio strategy.Source, evaluate, and execute potential investment opportunities.Build best practice financial models.Formulate and execute investment strategies, including exit and growth Strategies.Estimate the impacts of potential investments ( equity returns, employment, procurement).Prepare and present high-quality papers to the investment committee/board.Oversee integration and ongoing management of allocated investments, including monitoring performance and risk management.Collaborate with Indigenous, business, and professional partners to source potential investment opportunities.Other duties as required.Travel: Interstate travel and travel to remote locations under diverse and possibly difficult conditions will be required as part of this role.Required Capabilities:
Knowledge and Experience: Minimum two years at manager level in corporate finance, private equity, or a related field.Tertiary qualifications in economics, commerce, business, accounting, actuarial studies, and/or law are essential.Experience in renewable energy or residential housing development is advantageous.Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CPA/CA, CFA, MBA or MCom with a valuation major) are highly regarded.Strong financial analysis and valuation skills.Skills and Attributes: Strong analytical and lateral-thinking skills.Self-starter with results-oriented mindset.Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities.Attention to detail and strong work ethic.Maturity of commercial judgment and ability to assess business risk.Exceptional oral and written communication skills.Cultural capability and ability to communicate sensitivity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to high-quality customer service.What We Offer: A values-based organization committed to financial inclusion and empowerment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.15.4% employer contribution to superannuation.Not-for-profit status with access to salary packaging.4 weeks annual leave, with options for half-pay and purchased leave.Christmas close-down without leave deductions.Flexible working hours.18 days personal/carers leave.Paid volunteer leave.Application Process:
