In this role, you'll:
Will be working within a small high functioning team, focused on conducting safety and environmental investigations and preparing evidence-based reports that identify safety and environmental improvement opportunities.

You will participate in the SEQR 24/7 on call roster; responsible for assessing incidents and reporting them to regulators on behalf of Sydney Train as well as attending incidents sites as required.

As an experienced Investigator, you will regularly travel to various sites across the network, conducting interviews and research into a number of safety-related incidents.

You will work closely with Senior Investigators in the team to review and evaluate recommended safety actions to ensure all safety issues are addressed and can be readily implemented by the business customer.

You are proactive and self-driven with experience planning investigations and managing different stakeholders. You thrive in complex operational environments where attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities is crucial.

Resourceful and flexible in your approach to problem solving, you are a highly collaborative worker with superior communication (written and oral) and the ability to consult, liaise and share information with a wide range of stakeholders at different levels within the organisation.

You also need to be confident and capable with sourcing information and material for a broad range of stakeholders and managing subject matter experts and other staff allocated to assist the investigation.

This position requires you to be available out of hours approximately for a week once a month (part of the SEQR on-call roster) to report / attend incidents.
