Internal Investigator position - permanent, full-time Location: Newcastle The role Our Safeguarding Team are on the lookout for an experienced Investigator to conduct a wide range of sensitive internal investigations across our Child & Family and Disability service programs. You will be joining a team of true collaborators who support each other in leading sometimes demanding investigations.
This is a challenging but rewarding role where your ability to research and analyse allegations, identify causal issues and provide practical recommendations, can have a positive impact on improving the processes, practice and quality of service provision.
The position is based in Lifestyle Solutions/Possability office in Newcastle and is offered as a permanent full-time position. We are a national organisation so occasional planned and unplanned travel to service locations across Australia may be required. This role has a salary range of $90,000-$95,000 plus Superannuation.
About you As an Investigator at Lifestyle Solutions/Possability you will have the opportunity to make a real and tangible difference in the lives of others. It's a challenging role that requires an emotionally mature and resilient individual with previous experience dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information.
You will need to demonstrate that you're self-motivated, driven towards achieving outcomes and able to work autonomously; taking ownership of your portfolio of investigations. Highly developed interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills will be essential to your success in this role as you seamlessly and professionally transition between interviewing children, to presenting to and addressing issues with senior stakeholders and reporting outcomes to external regulators.
Ideally you will hold relevant qualifications in investigative practices and a proven track record in the successful use of investigation techniques, including cognitive interviewing. Your knowledge of reportable conduct legislation and mandatory reporting will be highly valued.
Experience conducting investigations in a community services setting would be advantageous but is not essential, and we encourage Investigators from all backgrounds and industries to apply.
You must have a current Working with Children's Check and National Police check (or be prepared to obtain same). You must have a current driver's licence.
