Duties:The Professional Standards Command Internal Investigations Unit (IIU) has recently expanded to allow for family violence and sexual abuse (including child sexual abuse) involving police to be investigated separately from other matters, with a specialization in trauma-informed practices that are victim-centric.
The investigation support officer plays a critical role within the investigative team, aiming for strong outcomes in sensitive, complex, fast-paced, and dynamic matters.
All staff are trained in trauma-informed practice.

Relevant serious criminal offences or repeated serious offences may provide grounds for declining an application for appointment.
Such offences include, but are not limited to:
