Lighthouse Family Lawyers – Launceston TAS
We are seeking a highly organised, professional, and passionate Legal Assistant to join our growing team in a full-time or part-time role. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for greeting clients, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and performing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanour, and a strong attention to detail.

As a Legal Assistant, you will be required to assist lawyers throughout the firm. You will have at least one year's experience, excellent attention to detail, research skills, the ability to work under pressure, and great communication and organisational skills. The right candidate will be friendly, dedicated, and a team player. In return, you will get the opportunity to work with a great, hard-working team where you will expand your skills and knowledge within the industry.
Assist with greeting clients attending the firm and answering telephone calls Assist with obtaining initial information of potential client enquiries Create and maintain client files and documents when required Prepare documents, amend, and format them including client documentation, emails, and presentations as and when required Use legal practice management software for case management and time-recording Support for general administrative tasks Proactive inbox management and diary management including meeting coordination and preparing agendas Assist with ad hoc administrative tasks when required. The ideal candidate should:
Have relevant experience working in Family Law Be proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook Approach client communication and problem-solving with empathy and patience Have the ability to manage time, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines Be collaborative and eager to contribute to a supportive team atmosphere Relevant work experience will be considered favourably.
