Monday - Friday 38 hours a weekShort term contract$35.00 hr + PenaltiesLooking for experienced Inventory Officer to fill short term position in local hospital!Your new companyOur client is a not-for-profit organisation based in Rockhampton. they are a prominent provider of hospital-based healthcare and is deeply rooted in the spirit of the sisters of mercy.Your new roleEnsure accurate and high-quality inventory controlFollow up supplier issues and requests related to inventory controlEnsure issues with supplier performance are raised with your managerSupport and build seamless customer service provision within Supply Chain Operations and ensure timely and accurate information from clinical stakeholders to the teamParticipate in collaborative issues resolution and support a best practice approach to customer service excellenceContribute to team development activitiesActively demonstrate initiative and input ideas to improving inventory service standardsParticipate in meetings and other forums as requiredUndertake other duties/tasks as requested from time to timeWhat you'll need to succeedA Diploma in Purchasing or Inventory Management, or equivalent is desirable, but not essentialDemonstrated experience of working within inventory control, preferably in a large, complex organisationPrior experience working in inventory control in a healthcare setting is desirableKnowledge and experience of an inventory management platform/s is essentialDemonstrated experience in imprest management processes is desirableDemonstrated IT skills including the MS Office suiteSound knowledge of the end-to-end procurement and purchasing process is desirableMust demonstrate initiative and be proactiveOutcome's orientation and understanding of key performance standardsAble to be organised in a dynamic operating environmentStrong communication skillsWhat you'll get in returnIf successful for this position, you will be working in a short-term role for a local hospital assisting with the inventory and supply needs.
