Located 38 kilometres south of Mackay, DBCT P/L operates with a nameplate capacity of 85 million tonnes per annum exporting coal from Central Queensland to ports around the world. This wouldn't be possible without great people - people just like you.
We are seeking an Inventory Analyst to join the Supply team at Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal. The role works within the Business Improvement Business Unit and is responsible for the provision of quality information and effective management of inventory systems and practices.
This position is accountable for maintaining the integrity of inventory databases and reporting applications with integrated IT systems and inventory stock holdings to distribute items to meet business operational requirements. A major focus of the position is the provision of accurate and reliable operating systems. The role requires a significant interpersonal focus, as well as a depth of technical knowledge relating to cataloguing and database development for the integration of application systems and processes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Undertaking activities with operational plans and understanding how these activities may impact the Supply department and the organisation as a whole.
Applying a range of techniques and professional standards to investigate, analyse, diagnose, and implement reliable inventory management systems to ensure delivery of outcomes.
Providing advice that relates to the identification, evaluation, or analysis of specific issues or problems impacting on operational effectiveness or efficiencies within the immediate MRU.

Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Recognised qualifications in inventory, warehouse management, procurement, and cataloguing.
Strong computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Office Suite products.
Understanding of database development in a Supply/Warehouse environment.
Strong understanding of procurement processes, forward purchasing agreements, and stock management.
