Our mission is to partner with communities at risk of human trafficking to deliver life-changing and sustainable development projects.About the roleWe are seeking a part-time, high capacity International Program Manager with previous international development and non-profit experience to join our team. Reporting to the Managing Director, this position assists the Executive Team in the delivery of Give Freedom's international development projects.The International Program Manager will have strong communication, relational, analytical, and problem solving skills.The International Program Manager has four core areas of responsibility:Field Partner relationship and communicationProject monitoring and managementCompliance and reportingInternational development expertise and best practiceKey ResponsibilitiesProgram & Project ManagementBuild and maintain a strong relationship with our Field Partner and facilitate Program Department meetingsManage program expense and grant requests from our Field PartnerManage financial and outcomes reporting for program expenses and grants, and assist our Field Partner in completing required reportingAssist in conducting regular Field Partner 'health checks'Monitor and evaluate program and project outcomesAssist in strengthening organisational capacity, and mutual accountability for both Give Freedom and our Field PartnersMaintain up to date knowledge and understanding of development best practiceRegularly review and update Give Freedom's 'International Development Approach' in line with industry best practiceWork with our Field Partner and Executive Team to assist in the development of and adherence to project scopes, goals, outcomes, timeframes, budgets, and risk assessmentsWork to reduce program costs where possible through research and negotiation with suppliersComplianceAssist with developing and updating key policiesEnsure alignment of outgoing funds with funding policiesDevelop and review financial and program reportingKeep up to date with and advise on Australian legal and governance complianceEnsure all program activities and reporting adhere to ACNC regulationsComplete required reporting for regulatory bodies (including ACNC)Advise on and ensure all program activities adhere to all international development codes of conduct, and sector specific best practiceAdvise on and ensure compliance to funding agreement requirements and assist in obtaining funding from other sourcesRelationships & CollaborationLiaise with Field Partners as needed, and be the main operational point of contactParticipate in team meetings, and provide regular program updates to the teamMaintain strong communication with Marketing, Partnership, and Operations teams.Liaise with the Marketing department to provide content updates from our Field PartnerSupport the Marketing department to ensure all outward facing communications align with our international development approach and core messaging frameworkWork with the partnerships team to align program reporting with donor journeys and servicingAdvocate for beneficiary and Field Partner interestsTo be successful in this role you will have:Required QualificationsBachelor degree in International Development, International Business, or related fieldDesired QualificationsMasters degree in a related fieldRequired ExperienceExperience in a similar or related roleExperience working in the not-for-profit sectorCore competenciesExcellent knowledge and understanding of International Development theory and best practiceSound knowledge of ACNC reporting requirements and compliance requirements under Australian lawExcellent cultural awareness and experience in building and fostering cross-cultural partnerships and relationshipsSound negotiation skillsThis is a permanent part-time (12-16 hrs per week) position, with the potential for hours to increase in the future.
