The International Admissions Recruitment Coordinator plays a critical role in the Office of International Affairs, supporting international students from their first inquiry to their first day on campus. This position ensures smooth, efficient, and personalized admissions processes, all while fostering a global community and promoting Louisiana Tech University on an international stage. A successful recruiter in this role listens actively, genuinely cares about helping students find the right fit when choosing a university, and has the ability to turn data into compelling stories that resonate with students and their families. We are looking for a kind and giving individual who enjoys helping others succeed.
Responsibilities: Process international undergraduate admissions decisions and advise applicants. Engage with prospects, applicants, and admitted students across multiple platforms. Recruit students internationally and domestically, representing Louisiana Tech University. Continuously improve recruitment materials and display to better communicate with international audiences. Assist with International Student Orientation, ensuring a smooth transition for new students. Create draft I-20s for incoming international undergraduate students. Award Bulldog Scholarships for incoming first-year international students. Collaborate with the Division of Student Affairs on other duties as assigned by the Director of International Affairs and/or the Dean of Cultural Engagement and Student Success. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. Strong desire to help international students succeed. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. A proven ability to listen actively and guide students toward making the best choice for their future. Ability to translate data into stories that stick with students and their families. Team-oriented spirit. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with foreign credential evaluation. Proficiency in advising techniques and computer skills. Availability for after-hours activities and emergencies. Other: This position is a full-time, 12-month position. Salary is $36,000.
