We are seeking a self-motivated and customer-focused team player to service customers both over the phone and at the trade counter.
Key responsibilities include: Receive sales enquiries (over phone, email, and trade counter) and follow up with quotes and pricing enquiries.
Contribute to the customer service team by assisting other sales staff and counter sales.
Accurately enter cash sales, picking slips, and invoices into the computer system.
Arrange credits for incorrect pricing and returned goods at point of sale; identify reason for credit and rectify problems to eliminate future credits.
Ensure sufficient levels of stock are available and advise the purchasing department of stock requirements.
On-the-job training will be provided.
This hands-on role will also require physical manual handling of industrial & hydraulic hoses and fittings for the purposes of preparing customer orders.
About you – Skills and experience: A demonstrated capacity to pick up and learn a broad range of technical product knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional customer service focus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and solid organisation skills.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Desirable (but not essential): Knowledge of Industrial/Hydraulic hoses and fittings would be an advantage due to the broad product range and target industries.
Forklift license.
