La Trobe University is seeking a strategic and innovative consulting professional to join our Strategy Realisation Office (SRO). Positioned as an internal consulting practice, the SRO plays a key role in driving end-to-end strategic initiatives across the University by partnering with our functions and business units. Our small team strives to make a large impact, focusing on strategy enablement, operating model review, and complex analysis. You will be responsible for driving complex strategy projects, using your skills in problem solving and logical structuring, while building long-term relationships within and beyond the team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will work alongside senior executives on some of the most challenging and transformative programs and projects. You will be expected to proactively lead workstreams, challenge conventional thinking in a thoughtful and evidence-based way, and provide support and guidance to your colleagues.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver strategic initiatives, working across the consulting engagement lifecycleProactively manage your own workstream(s) and produce high-quality deliverablesPlan and conduct research and analysis to generate novel and value-adding insightsHelp position the SRO as an internal provider of top-tier strategy consulting servicesManage complex relationships and interpersonal dynamics across the UniversitySupport your colleagues in their development of consulting capabilities, tools, and methodologiesMinimum Requirements: Minimum of 3 years' experience in strategy and operations consulting or equivalent roles, ideally within a global professional services firm or businessBachelor's degree or equivalent alternate combination of relevant training, knowledge, and/or experienceStudies in the fields of commerce, law, finance, economics, human resources, or information technology will be viewed favorablyStrong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solvingExceptional emotional intelligence and ability to engage diverse stakeholdersProven project management skills, from concept through to executionExcellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilitiesWhy La Trobe?
