WaterNSW is seeking an experienced Internal Communications & Multimedia Manager to join our team.

This is a parental leave cover for a term up to January 2026.

What you'll do: Lead, manage and execute the WaterNSW Internal Communications and Multimedia Strategy, supporting improved employee engagement, delivery of key information and updates for staff, and consistent quality of written and visual communication.
Manage all internal communication channels and the development of internal communication collateral, ensuring alignment to WaterNSW Internal Communications and Multimedia Strategy and aligning with the External Communications framework as appropriate.
Advise CEO on communications approach, tools, channels and tactics including messaging and positioning statements to support the CEO brand and strategic direction for WaterNSW.
Assistance will extend to the preparation of speaking notes, key messages, Blog posts, announcements, reports, podcasts and presentations.
Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders, including the executive team and senior leaders, on key communications and multimedia that support the Internal Communications and Multimedia Strategy.
Develop and maintain brand and image standards for internal documents and drive adoption of brand resources and organisational key messages.
Lead and/or support the communication requirements of incident management teams as and when needed.
What we are looking for: Degree or tertiary qualifications in Public Relations, Marketing or Communications or a related field or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in managing the production of impactful communications collateral, including liaising with graphic designers and other skilled individuals.
Experience partnering with executive and senior leadership levels to provide expert advice and the production of collateral to support leadership messaging.
Very high level written, verbal and interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively at all levels (internally and externally) with a clear understanding of the need for diplomacy, tact and confidentiality at all times.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
Demonstrated ability to develop communication strategies and plans.
Ability to produce flawless written copy in a variety of communications styles and through various channels.
