About the role Reporting to the Supplier Audit & Compliance Manager, you will undertake audits of Coles Brand suppliers to the Coles Food or Non-Food Manufacturing Supplier Requirements standard; communicate audit outcomes and close out non-conformances with suppliers to agreed timeframes.
Note: Given the national locations of Coles Brand suppliers, this role will include regular travel with 80% of your role being based at supplier sites.
You will also:
Report on target audits at Coles Brand suppliers to confirm compliance to responsible sourcing initiatives and identify and address issues. Demonstrate initiative and a flexible approach to deal with urgent supplier issues at short notice. Provide coaching and feedback to develop technical capabilities of Coles Brand suppliers and product technologists. Review repetitive non-conformances from audits to identify areas for improvement for Coles Brand suppliers. Work with Coles product technologists to address non-conformance with suppliers and Coles Quality Academy providers to ensure effective training is developed. Participate in technical scorecarding for Coles Brand suppliers. Input to the strategy guiding Coles Brand supplier performance. About you and your skills Tertiary degree in Food Science and Technology. Minimum five years' experience in food or related industries, in quality assurance or product safety within manufacturing, retail or inspection functions. Strong understanding of food safety and HACCP principles. Demonstrated safety competence in a range of specific product categories (e.g. thermal processing, chilled ready to eat foods, allergen-free foods). Proactive, firm but fair approach; willing to share knowledge to drive positive change. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Confident stakeholder management with the ability to build relationships and resolve conflict. Driver's licence and own transport. Take your next step into something bigger, apply now.
