We regularly have opportunities coming up in the Brisbane & greater QLD region and are seeking experienced Electrical / ITS Inspectors interested in joining us for 1 to 2 year assignments with the possibility of extensions.
The purpose of these roles is to inspect the construction of Electrical and Intelligent Transport Systems assets for roadworks projects to Transport and Main Roads' (DTMR) quality specifications & standards.
Responsibilities: Use comprehensive knowledge of TMR policies, standards and specifications and be able to read, understand and interpret technical documents & standards.Prepare written documents including daily diary, submissions/reports & test results.Communicate with the Contractor and/or Contract Administrators, Senior Engineers or Principal Representatives and keep them informed of progress and quality of works.Provide effective administration, surveillance, and recording of documentation generated during the construction including photos.Mandatory Experience: The person applying for this role must have a minimum of 10 years' extensive practical experience in road construction projects and at least 5 years as an Electrical / ITS Inspector.Computer skills in Microsoft Windows operating system, MS Word, MS Excel, file management, and email.Must have a driver's licence and have access to own transport to/from home to site.Preference for own laptop & mobile phone.Preference will also be given to someone already living in SEQLD &/or willing to relocate there; however, we will consider alternatives. The proposed hours are nominally 40 per week & mainly day shift rosters (which may be cycled from time to time to provide relief), although no guarantee there won't be more or less hours due to project demands. The sites are mainly located in Brisbane & SE / QLD; however, some opportunities may extend up the coast to FNQ. Some Saturday and Sunday work may be required, but this is anticipated to be minimal.
