The key purpose of the Intelligence team Leader is to assume responsibility for the day to day operational and administrative management of the Acacia prison Intelligence Unit. You will provide operational assurance and support to the delivery of contractual and operational compliance with a focus on security and operations across Acacia Prison. 
What you'll be doing Ensure the Intelligence Unit perform their duties in accordance the prisons operational requirements, policies, and procedures. Participate as an effective team member in the development and implementation of the Acacia prison's intelligence cycle Support team members in identifying, developing, and implementing innovations and practices which support the Intelligence Unit Ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented in response to audits, incidents, and reviews, and that the results of these new actions align with expected outcomes. Take all practical steps to create and maintain a culturally sensitive environment including respecting the diversity of inmates, staff, and other stakeholders Assist in the development of new processes and procedures to mitigate identified security and operational risks. Ensure personal conduct is highly professional and appearance conforms to official uniform and or dress standards. Provide continued education and advice to the Intelligence Unit. About you - your ideal skills & experience Experience conducting interviews and other investigative functions. Knowledge and experience managing the delivery of intelligence product to stakeholders in an operational intelligence environment. Knowledge and understanding of matters which affect the security and good order of the custodial environment. Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or post-graduate studies in an Intelligence based subject. Certificate III and IV in Correctional Practice (DESIRABLE) The ability to pass a National Police Check You do not need to match every listed expectation to apply for this position.
