We are actively sourcing an experienced Integration Specialist to join our Digital & Technology (D&T) team at St Vincent's. Reporting to the Patient & Clinical Applications Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining data integration solutions using HL7 and FHIR standards within St Vincent's.
Your expertise with clinical applications will be advantageous in this role, as you will collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements, analyse existing systems and ensure seamless data exchange between healthcare applications.
This role can be based in either Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane and is available for immediate start on a Permanent Full-Time basis. You will also participate in the Patient & Clinical Applications team on-call roster.
Key responsibilities: Provide technical support and guidance on Rhapsody and the systems that integrate with this platform both internal and external to St Vincent's.Proactively monitor and optimise performance of integration processes, document data flows and troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration and interoperability.Foster a collaborative and supportive environment of high-quality, patient-centred care while engaging in emerging technologies, best practices and continuous improvement and innovation initiatives for integration (HL7, FHIR, API).Assist the wider D&T team with successful implementation of integration solutions as they relate to Patient & Clinical Applications.Develop and maintain data mappings, transformation rules, integration workflows and comprehensive documentation and reporting of integration processes to provide training and support for end-users and technical staff.Things that work for us: Proven experience working within an IT Applications Services department and proficiency in Rhapsody integration engine.Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management within a healthcare or clinical setting, with knowledge of clinical standards and messaging formats (HL7, FHIR), and integration related troubleshooting.Ability to work autonomously as well as part of the team, showing initiative and generating ideas for continuous improvement and innovation.Strong understanding of clinical workflows with excellent communication, analytical and troubleshooting skills, and a great attitude towards supporting and collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders alike.Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, IT, Project Management or relevant field and Certification in Health Informatics (CHIA) and Rhapsody Integration Certification - desirable.Ability to support on multiple priorities simultaneously and seamlessly while maintaining attention to detail in a high pressure environment.Things that work for you: Ability to visibly see your impact on the business and its service.Competitive salary packaging options.Discounted private health insurance.Employee Assistance Program for staff and their families.Access to the Fitness Passport (FP).Why become part of St Vincent's Health Australia?
