Due to an expansion in our Major and Complex Loss claims portfolio, we are looking for an experienced Building Supervisor to join the team.
This is a dynamic, fast-paced and KPI driven role which will require you to be able to think on your feet and work with a variety of people across the business in our Major and Complex Loss team. We are offering a full-time position based in Perth (South).
The role:Manage the end-to-end repair experience for major and complex loss jobs.Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs to ensure an acceptable profitable margin.Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones whilst ensuring timely delivery of repairs in accordance with expected outcomes for our clients.Prioritise workloads and work in a systematic and organised manner to cope with tight deadlines.Deliver first class customer service.Grow and maintain client relationships in the major and complex loss market.Analyse, manage, and mitigate risks ensuring all OHS requirements are met.Contribute to and comply with all statutory legislation including the relevant Health and Safety policies and procedures applicable to Ambrose Construct Group.Establish and manage major and complex loss construction projects from conception to completion.Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.Assist with new starter training if necessary. About you:A full and valid driving license.Trade qualifications preferred.Construction Management Degree/Qualification in Building & Construction/Builder's Registration.Proven experience in facilitating major and complex loss events within Insurance Building Industry.Experience of working with a multi-skilled trades team (within occupied/vacant properties) is desirable.Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.Ability to diagnose and prioritise specific work activities and tasks.Ability to work individually and as part of a team, sharing knowledge and experience in order to gain clear results.Ability to demonstrate a flexible, caring, and professional approach to customer care within a wide range of work situations.Can-do attitude towards work.Able to produce consistently high quality workmanship.Proficient in MS Project/Excel + other Construction Scheduling Software Platforms.Honest and truthful at all times.Knowledge and understanding of construction related OH&S legislation.Understanding of value for money.Ability to work outside normal working hours as required.
