We are currently hiring a Insurance Advisor based in our Broadmead location.

As an Insurance Advisor, you'll launch an exciting BCAA career by building strong, trusting relationships with our customers by helping them select the right mix of insurance products and services to meet their life's events and future needs.

What you bring At least 2 years' experience in a sales and service environment, including 6 months of general insurance experience, including travel and automobile insurance. Level 1 Insurance license, with a commitment to secure your Level 2 Insurance license within your first 12 months of employment. BCAA will provide time and cover the cost. Completion of Autoplan Essentials or a commitment to complete within your first 3 months. BCAA will provide time and cover the cost. Limited history of Errors & Omissions and in good standing with the Insurance Council of BC. Comfortable using technology, including working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Bonus qualifications! Experience selling home insurance, knowledge of ICBC systems, and ability to speak other languages aside from English.

During a typical day, you will: Work with team members to recommend BCAA insurance products and services to current and new customers to meet their needs. You'll help them secure and/or renew their policies by reviewing current coverage and making recommendations. Collaborate with BCAA Support Teams and Underwriting to assess and recommend the right coverage for our customers. Achieve sales and productivity goals while upholding BCAA and AAA/CAA Member experience goals and underwriting guidelines. Manage customer accounts and documentation, from processing payments to issuing new, renewal, endorsements and cancellations for Insurance policies, BCAA Memberships, and additional products and services. Increase your industry knowledge and expertise towards becoming a Senior Insurance Advisor within 12 months. You'll participate in BCAA's training courses, maintain annual licensing requirements and keep up to date with the latest processes, products and service offerings in the insurance industry in a supportive environment. The salary range for this position is $45,406.32 to $56,757.84 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 12%, with the opportunity to earn up to 20%.
