We have a team of 90 professional and support staff across two office locations.

Nexia Melbourne has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Auditor to join our Audit and Assurance Team! With the support of our Managers and Partners, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless execution of audit assignments. As an auditor-in-charge, you will take ownership of significant client engagements and gain exposure to diverse client portfolios. This role provides a unique opportunity to apply and expand your expertise across various client industries, all within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Some of the main responsibilities include: Complete audit engagements, including planning, performing, finalising, and reporting. Supervising and reviewing junior auditor's work papers as auditor in charge. Mentoring, assisting, and providing guidance to junior audit team members. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients. Manage a large portfolio of clients. Provide regular progress reports to the Audit Management Team. About you: To be considered for this role, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
You have a minimum of 5 years external audit experience in public practice. Relevant bachelor's degree (Business, Commerce, Accounting, etc.) and studying CA or equivalent post-graduate qualification. Good knowledge of Word, Excel, APS, and CaseWare (or similar audit systems). You are a great communicator, both written and verbal. Appropriate professional and technical skills required to demonstrate a solid application of audit approach. Good knowledge and understanding of Australian corporate reporting requirements (e.g., Accounting Standards, Corporations Act, UIG). Our Perks include: Highly collaborative team environment.
