Location ProfileFountain Gate Secondary College is located in the City of Casey in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, approximately 40 kilometres from the Melbourne Central Business District. The school was registered as a Year 7-12 provider in 2009, and prior to that, was a Year 7-10 campus of Eumemmerring College.

Enrolments are approximately 1240 students. Fountain Gate Secondary College provides a Year 7 to Year 12 learning program through the Victorian Curriculum, the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), Victorian Certificate of Education – Vocation Major (VCE-VM) and a range of Victorian Education and Training (VET) offerings.
Selection CriteriaDemonstrated capacity to implement Woodwind Instrument tuition (including flexible and adaptive tutoring approaches) in individual and small group contexts to allow students to reach their full potential.Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of Woodwind Instrument teaching methods and how to implement them.Demonstrated proficiency in Woodwind Instrument instruction/techniques, a range of Woodwind performance styles and demonstrated expertise in ensemble leadership.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with students, parents, colleagues, and the school community, as well as supporting the growth of the music program.Demonstrated ability to monitor student achievement and report to the Instrumental Music Coordinator on student progress.RolePart time 2 days a week 8.35-4.00 both days.

ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of this position will be:
Provide professional student support services under the direction of the Instrumental Music Coordinator.Provide strategic advice on specific support services and their impact on students, school curriculum and services.Manage the use of and access to school resource and reference material.Other duties as directed by the Instrumental Music Coordinator.Who May ApplyIndividuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.
