The Austin Health Sterilizing Services Department (CSSD) engages in all aspects of decontamination, packaging, sterilizing, and storage of re-usable medical devices.
Austin Health Sterilizing Services departments are located on two separate campuses. Repatriation Campus CSSD has recently been refurbished with the most up-to-date equipment and provides a service for a busy operating suite which consists of 8 operating rooms, Endoscopy, and other departments on this campus. Austin Campus CSSD provides a service for 11 busy operating rooms, Endoscopy, and other departments on this campus.
About the role An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Instrument Technician to join our Sterilizing Services Department, who consistently demonstrates expertise in all aspects of the CSSD Department including loan instrument, tracking system, and other sophisticated equipment.
About you As the Instrument Technician Grade 4, you will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You'll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring with you:
