(We have two permanent employment opportunities for our Kalgoorlie Team) Remuneration package of up to $179,654 per annum* *Remuneration is based on salary ($143,896), superannuation ($15,282) and attraction and retention incentive (ARI) payments ($20,476) and leave loading. ARI payments are subject to periodic review and approval. The ARI payment is set to expire on 30 June 2025. Extension of the ARI payment beyond that term is subject to further government decision. The role In the role of Inspector of Mines – Mining Engineer, you will conduct sensitive, high-level inspectorate activities aligned with the Division's programs and policies. This includes preparing investigation and prosecution reports and presenting expert evidence.
You will also drive and champion the implementation and engagement of safety reform, continuous improvement and change management approaches. You will liaise with employers, employees, unions and industry organisations to develop and maintain effective working relationships and secure commitment to the Division's objectives.
Further, you will respond to requests for complex regulatory and technical information, initiate and respond to correspondence, and prepare documentation to enforce legislation.
About the positions available:
One position is located in Kalgoorlie , which is a dynamic regional centre offering a comfortable lifestyle, where there is plenty for you and your family to see and do. You will need to travel within Goldfields-Esperance region to conduct your work and will occasionally be required to travel to Perth.
The other position is located in Perth, based at 1 Adelaide Terrace, but will support the east region through regular travel to the Goldfields and other regional locations to fulfill the key aspects of the role.
