You will be working under industry leaders, who will continue to inspire, empower, and entrust you while supporting your learning within the legal sector.
With the guidance and leadership of seasoned and supportive General Counsel and Director of Legal Services, your key accountabilities will include:
Developing knowledge in all aspects of the in-house legal function including under appropriate supervision.Advise, negotiate and resolve commercial disputes as well as assist with large scale commercial litigation.Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts as required by internal stakeholders.Advise on ad hoc employment, consumer, and commercial law issues.Assist company secretary with drafting directors' resolutions and other secretarial documents.Conduct legal research on various employment law and commercial law issues.Assist senior lawyers with legal projects.Conduct case management tasks including reporting and administration.Liaise with external counsel and partners.What you bring:Admitted as a legal practitioner in NSW (or other Australian State).1-3 years of post-qualification experience.Ability to prioritise and operate in a fast-paced environment.Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse stakeholder group.Strong business acumen in which you are able to make commercial-based decisions.A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with a focus on achieving outcomes.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Collaborative and supportive work environment.Be part of a growing and successful company.Make a significant contribution to the company's strategic direction.Amazing 6-star CBD office location.A unique opportunity to use your contract/commercial negotiation and litigation skills and knowledge and develop sought-after employment law knowledge and experience.APPLY NOW for a confidential discussion Peninsula is committed to nurturing a diverse and vibrant workplace.
