Your role will be instrumental in upholding streamlined IT systems and offering crucial support to advance our organisation to greater success.BenefitsGenerous salary above award up to $74,000 to $78,000 dependent on experienceMake a genuine positive contribution to the local communityTask & ResponsibilitiesProvide a high level of support to all staff in managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Council's computer systems, network, and technology infrastructure to ensure efficient, accessible, and secure performance.Provide a high level of customer service to Council's internal and external clients by providing prompt responses through the Helpdesk function on all technology-related matters.Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Council's fleet of Information Technology assets, including desktop computers, laptops, mobile phones, printers, scanners, servers, audio/visual peripherals, and associated software applications.Assist with implementing and maintaining security measures to protect against the loss/corruption of data or systems, including unauthorised access, cyber threats, viruses, and other risks.Assist with designing, commissioning, and maintaining Microsoft Servers and network infrastructure.Manage system upgrades as directed by the Manager Information Technology.Provide technical support and assistance to internal and external clients, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, training, and assisting with IT-related enquiries.Assist in maintaining effective procedures and policies to ensure the secure, effective, and ethical use of Council's IT infrastructure and assets.Assist with monitoring and configuring backup schedules to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently.Provide IT support to Council's remote sites, including Council's depot, waste management facility, visitor information centre, and community facilities.Qualification & ExperienceTertiary qualification/Diploma in information technology or equivalent discipline or demonstrated relevant experience.Have at least two years of work experience for the role.Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Windows network operating systems, mini-computer and client/server environment operations.Demonstrated problem-solving skills, understanding local area network configuration, administration, implementation, and troubleshooting.Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proven experience and competence with the Microsoft 365 suite, namely Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.Understanding of information technology/system security and privacy legislation.Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity and Work Health and Safety principles.About the CompanyAt Kyogle Council, we are committed to meeting the challenges of our unique and diverse region.
