Infection Prevention and Control CoordinatorInfection Prevention Coordinator (RN or EN) - Join our Community of Care Part Time / Contract Part Time (2-3 Days Per Week), 3-6 Month Contract - $58.35 per hour + Shift AllowancesRelocation + accommodation options available for those wanting a tree-changeHobart Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator (RN or EN) to lead the direction on the Infection Prevention and Control Program to enable the delivery of exceptional, best practice clinical care within the hospital/facility whilst also maintaining the site's optimum accreditation status with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS). This role is currently being offered as a part time contract, but we are flexible on the terms of employment for the right candidate, so tell us what you are looking for!
Your responsibilities will include: Coordinate and manage the implementation of current Infection Prevention and Control StandardsMonitor and evaluate Infection Prevention and Control procedures, practices and standardsWork with the Executive, VMO, managers and members of multidisciplinary teamsParticipate in relevant committees, and the National Healthscope Infection Control ClusterCollect, collate and analyse identified statistical data and trendsComply with relevant legislative requirementsComply with key performance indicators (KPIs), Infection Prevention and Control ACHS clinical indicatorsPolicy review and development, staff education and adverse incident reporting and investigationsManage the Anti-microbial Stewardship and Hand Hygiene programs including training of staff and reporting of dataCurrent Registration with AHPRA with Post Graduate ExperienceCertificate or Diploma in Infection Prevention and Control (or evidence of currently working towards achievement)Compliance with ACQSHC National standardsClinical decision making and problem solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work autonomously and within multi-disciplinary teamsAbility to write reports and collate and analyze statistical informationProfessional development in Infection Prevention and ControlImmunisation certificate or working towardsGold Standard Auditor for NHHIWork with Tasmania's Leading Private Hospital in the Heart of Hobart For over 20 years, Hobart Private Hospital has been a cornerstone of high-quality healthcare for the people of Hobart and greater Tasmania. If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope - Tasmania - Nurses and Midwives Enterprise Agreement 2021-2024, a salary of $58.35 per hour.
