– Warrnambool VIC Since 2002, South West Local Learning and Employment Network Inc (South West LLEN) has been working with schools, businesses, and communities across the region to ensure that young people are supported to aspire and achieve the very best possible education, training and employment outcomes.
The aim of South West LLEN is to improve outcomes for young people, by increasing opportunities for their participation, attainment and successful transition to education, training, or employment.
ABOUT THE ROLE: South West LLEN is looking to employ an Industry Liaison Officer to create hands-on learning opportunities for senior school students across South West Victoria.
The Industry Liaison Officer will work within the South West LLEN team to build relationships with employers and the community that lead to Structured Workplace Learning and Work Experience placements for senior school students.
Hours: 30.4 per week (4 days).
Term: Ongoing, subject to funding.
Position location: Warrnambool office.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA: Demonstrated industry liaison experience and confidence in approaching new employers to create partnerships via current networks and cold calling to source new opportunities for students.
Ability to effectively communicate and network to develop and support relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including local employers, businesses, and community organisations.
Working as part of a team and independently.
Ability to easily adapt different communication styles based on the appropriate audience and market South West LLEN's program to engage employers.
Well-developed use of IT systems with an understanding of record keeping.
Possess a current Driver's license.
