We value our positive and encouraging culture where all our team members are valued, effort is rewarded, and fun is encouraged.WHY JOIN REGENT PAINTSIn return for your commitment, you will be offered a competitive salary and benefits package that includes:40-hour average work week (Monday to Friday)11.5% SuperannuationEligibility to receive delivery bonusesAnnual leave purchase programA high performance and inclusive cultureKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and produce innovative new surface coating products from idea to proof of concept.Engage with stakeholders and suppliers regarding the purchasing of new and existing productsTest prototype coatings against specifications and produce reports demonstrating compliance.Assist in translating successful lab trials to production trials and full-scale manufacturing.Provide guidance to management and suppliers on coating requirements and timelines.Prepare materials and procedures for internal management and customersProvide guidance and training materials for management and end users of new developed products.Prepare materials and procedures for the initial application, provide advice, and co-author a report summarising outcomes and lessons learned.SELECTION CRITERIA:To be considered for this unique opportunity you must be an Australian Citizen and will need to meet the following criteria:A degree, honours degree or PhD qualification in the fields of Chemistry, Materials Science, Formulation Science, or similar, and/or qualifications with relevant industrial experience.3+ years of experience in the coatings industry.Strong background in writing and developing specificationsExperience in qualifying coatings products to specifications and ensuring complianceDemonstrated ability to conduct scientific research through the use of scientific databases/literature.Demonstrated ability to conduct work with limited guidance and supervision.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present scientific results both orally and in written reports.Demonstrated ability to comply with Work, Health and Safety policies.Be adaptable and flexible to deal with a varying workload.APPLICATIONSPlease click the 'Apply' button to submit your application.
