Indigenous Mentor: Transition to Work Noarlunga Full- Time Are you interested in working with young people?Are you looking for the next step in your career and want to have a positive impact? The Role As an Indigenous Mentor you will be responsible for providing effective support, mentoring and intervention to Indigenous clients that enables them to successfully participate in education and employment. You will work with a number of key stakeholders to provide opportunities for Indigenous clients, taking into account their skills and abilities, as well as their community and cultural needs. In this position, you will also be required to provide on the job support to a youth participant, and assess and address the workplace support needs of each individual to ensure ongoing employment is maintained.
The role will be based at our Noarlunga with the focus on supporting our Indigenous clients within the southern region, therefore a Drivers Licence is essential. As the Indigenous Mentor you will be able to: Engage and Support Indigenous clients in groups and one-on-one settingsAttract and maintain relationships with key community stakeholders, with a focus on employmentEstablish and maintain links with associated and relevant Indigenous support agenciesBuild and maintain a network of employers to suit the needs of our Indigenous cohortProvide individualised and personalised on-the-job supportProvide Indigenous cultural awareness coaching and mentoring sessionsMarket and promote the Organisations clients and services Why join Our Organisation?
