The OpportunityMonash University is seeking a Indigenous Employment Business Partner to drive our Indigenous employment goals.
This pivotal role involves collaborating with senior stakeholders, supervisors and HR Business Partners to develop and implement innovative strategies to support the retention, development, engagement and career progression of Indigenous employees.
In this role you will provide specialist advice to support HR colleagues, Indigenous employees and leaders in managing Indigenous employment matters.Only Indigenous Australians are eligible to apply as this position is exempt under the Special Measure Provision, Section 12 (1) of the Equal Opportunity Act 2011 (Vic).Key Responsibilities include: Develop and deliver initiatives from the Reconciliation Action Plan 2023-2025 to improve employment outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staffLead strategic change initiatives and reviews to enhance professional development, career advancement, and retention of Indigenous staff, including coordinating the Indigenous Staff NetworkProvide specialist advice and support to leaders on Indigenous employment matters to ensure effective workforce practicesBuild the capability of the Monash workforce to implement Indigenous employment initiatives and strategies We are looking for someone with: Experience in engaging with and supporting Indigenous talent, including working with Indigenous communitiesProven HR skills with a track record in deploying talent management strategies to achieve business outcomesStrong generalist HR skills with experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing othersExcellent consulting and relationship management skills, with the ability to build strategic relationships and influence senior stakeholders About Monash UniversityAt Monash, work feels different.
