Details of the offer

Permanent
All Locations - Full Time - Hybrid - Manager
Our Independence Office is responsible for ensuring that PwC Australia ("PwCA") complies with regulatory and network requirements in relation to auditor independence, blending technical skills and strategy to advise our internal functions and teams with spectacular results. Our team is expanding, and we're looking for an Independence Manager to support and work with PwCA partners and staff to assist them in fulfilling the regulatory and policy requirements within our vast community of solvers.
With new problems to solve, you'll have plenty of support and opportunities to grow. We work from anywhere, so your strong communication skills and team ethos will get a workout. You'll learn plenty as you oversee systems, follow processes, escalate issues, action requests from staff, and provide general independence advice in a workplace that's human-led and tech-enabled.
You'll solve problems by providing independence advice and performing compliance processes. In our Independence Office, you'll also:

Become proficient in using the Firm's Independence systems, and develop a good understanding of PwCA's Independence-related policies and guidance.
Provide advice on a broad range of independence matters, escalating as appropriate to more senior members of the team.
Manage various core independence compliance functions, such as the firm-wide annual compliance confirmation process.
Oversee and troubleshoot activities of more junior onshore and offshore staff.
Maintain clear lines of communication with fellow team members and applicable team leaders.
Manage service delivery ensuring that queries are answered promptly.
Assist with preparing and delivering training presentations, analyze regulatory requirements, and draft policies and guidance.
Develop good relationships with international counterparts.
Contribute to building knowledge and capabilities amongst team members.
Support other Independence activities. As you grow into the role, and as team needs evolve, there will be opportunities for changing focus to other areas of independence.
