Inclusive Early Childhood Teacher We are an exceptional childcare centre that welcomes neurodiverse children. Out of our total capacity for 185 children, we reserve up to 12 spots specifically for those requiring additional support.
We are seeking a passionate and caring early childhood teacher who has experience educating neurodiverse children in an inclusive environment to run one of our two supportive care classrooms. As a supportive care teacher, you will be the catalyst of education and support for these young children and their families and play a crucial role in igniting their passion for learning.
The purpose-built, neuro-affirming facility has been carefully designed to cater to the specific needs of children who require extra support during their time in care. While we recognise that some children flourish in the vibrant atmosphere of childcare, Kool Beanz understands that others seek a nurturing environment that provides them with the tranquillity and reassurance necessary for exploration and learning. Our supportive care rooms prioritise the importance of play based learning, building self-esteem and resilience, and the development of social and emotional skills. Our superb educational facilities also include a library, LEGO room, and master chef kitchen.
What makes you the right person? Planning and delivery of the Early Years Learning Framework. Acknowledgement and planning of individualised support needs and plans of children and their families and caregivers.Working collaboratively to ensure therapy and support goals and strategies are embedded within children's everyday routines and to incorporate early childhood practices to support transition to mainstream settings.Experience working with neurodiverse children or in an inclusive environment.Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build strong relationships with allied health professionals, families, and caregivers.Creativity and capability to program insightful learning experiences that challenge the children's cognitive, social, and emotional and physical development. Bachelor in Early Childhood Teaching, Special Needs Education or Inclusive Education (minimum of cert III in early childhood education and care). Current First Aid, CPR and Asthma/Anaphylaxis CertificatesPaid working with Children Check (Blue Card) What you will enjoy!
