The Inclusion Program at Keysborough Secondary College aims to promote a community of learners where students will take increasing responsibility for their own learning and personal growth, both in respect to academic development and wellbeing.The Inclusion Manager is responsible for the management of all Inclusion Aides at Keysborough Secondary College who are working with those students who are both eligible for Inclusion funding or have been identified as needing additional support in their learning.The Inclusion manager will support, assist create and supervise intervention and student support programs based on identified needs of students in the College. This includes working with parents in their applications to The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) for support under The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The Inclusion Manager will work with College leadership, teachers and other Leaders to build capacity on the design of inclusive programs and Inclusive provision to support students.The Inclusion Manager reports to the Inclusion Assistant Principal and the Inclusion Leader.ResponsibilitiesThe Inclusion Manager will:Assist with the leadership of the Inclusion Program at the College level under the direction of the Inclusion Assistant Principal.Liaise with inclusion Assistant Principal, College leadership, teaching staff, ES staff and co-ordinating SSS staff, external agencies and Inclusion Aides.Ensure that Inclusion Funded students with specific learning needs are provided with appropriate supports.Liaise with Wellbeing to ensure supports are in place for all Inclusion Funded students.Liaise formally with external agencies to ensure provision of services to Inclusion students.Develop and maintain activity groups for Inclusion students.Manage the Inclusion Aides on both campuses on a daily basis.Devise a timetable for the Inclusion Aides.Liaise with the Inclusion team, Year level Leaders and the Inclusion Aides around provision of a comprehensive timetable of classroom support for Inclusion students.Manage issues related to Inclusion Aides as they arise.Oversight of reengagement groups at the College.Oversight of Wellbeing Groups and Inclusion Groups.Build the Capacity of the Inclusion Administration and Inclusion aides to run groups (& Youth Workers).Write the program in consultation with leaders involved.Develop and collate data and provide feedback before, during and after all Student Support Groups (SSGs) appropriate to assisting the College leadership.Develop a Record of Specialist Involvement (ROSI) for each group.Compile behaviour data observations with each ROSI.Oversight and management of the Inclusion Administration Role.Conduct regular meetings with the Inclusion Administrator to develop best practice.Support families to complete the NDIS application.Be the point of contact for NDIS case managers/liaisons, Visiting Teachers and external Allied Health.Document recommendations from external Allied Health agencies in regard to Inclusion students.Ensure continuity of provision and communication of recommendations to appropriate people.Support Disability inclusion Profile Leader to run SSGs & IEPs for DIP Students.Support the documentation of paperwork for DIP students.Be an active part of the DIP meeting with these students.Support the Inclusion AP to run the Transition meetings for incoming Year 7 students.Collate and document the relevant documentation for incoming Year 7 Students.Provide feedback and updates to Inclusion AP, Disability Inclusion Profile Leaders and Inclusion Leaders in relation to the Inclusion Program Groups and other related Support Programs.Liaise with NDIS about the educational programs for Inclusion students.Assist in the delivery of improved opportunities for Inclusion students and the efficient functioning of Inclusion Aides within the College.Undertake additional duties as directed by the College Principal or the Inclusion Assistant Principal.Who May ApplyIndividuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.Conditions of EmploymentAll staff employed by the Department and schools have access to a broad range of employment conditions and working arrangements.Appointment of successful applicants will be made subject to a satisfactory pre-employment conditions check.A probationary period may apply during the first year of employment and induction and support programs provided.Detailed information on all terms and conditions of employment is available on the Department's Human Resources website at Department's HR website.Location ProfileKeysborough Secondary College is a multi-campus school with one campus in Keysborough (Acacia Campus) and one in Springvale South (Banksia Campus). Both campuses offer programs for students in years 7-12 with an organisational structure arranged around Junior and Senior sub-schools.Enrolments in the College stand at around 2300 and are growing. The College provides a broad range of VCE, VCE-VM and VET subjects for our students across the two campuses. The College also has a significant International Students Program with its own ELC.Student achievement and engagement is generally above Like School groups and retention is high.
