The Role
As a valuable member of the IPL Team, you will lead and develop a team of maintenance personnel including engineers, planners, warehouse, trades and contractors.
You will be responsible for but not limited to:
Leading the maintenance team to carry out all maintenance activities of the acid plant to improve availability and therefore production of the plant. Planning and monitoring appropriately to ensure the monthly spend forecast is a direct reflection of the planned maintenance activities for the next month, with discrepancies reported and justified to the Site Manager. Leading the maintenance team to meet specific maintenance KPI's. Recognising the criticality of Production/Maintenance relations and fostering improved relationships and hence outcomes through open and honest discussions. Stepping in as Site Manager and SSE as required. What you'll bring
To be successful in this role you will ideally have the following competencies:
You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture. Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or relevant industry experience. SSE qualifications or ability to obtain – (5 years experience in Qld Metalliferous Mining, with at least 2 of those years in leadership). Proven experience leading a technical team. Experience leading Root Cause Analysis investigations. Competent using SAP software or similar. Northern Australian Operations consists of an Ammonium Phosphate Mine and Processing Plant (Phosphate Hill) and Sulphuric Plant (Mt Isa) in North Queensland. The facilities comprise of ammonia, beneficiation, phosphoric acid, granulation and sulphuric acid plants plus infrastructure, utilities, power generation and housing to support the permanent workforce.
