This role provides substantial responsibility and opportunity, working closely with the General Counsel (ex top-tier) in a small team. You will interact with GMs and Corporate Managers throughout the business, assisting with the legal function and becoming involved in significant legal matters, including general commercial, corporate/mergers & acquisitions, property/leasing, projects, litigation, and insurance. An understanding of the due diligence process is essential, as well as experience in significant contracts, risk mitigation, and compliance. A good drafter with negotiation skills is required, along with strong process management abilities and high emotional intelligence. Skills/Experience
To qualify for this position, you will have at least 4 years PQE and up to about 9 PQE, as a front-end commercial lawyer. Training in a well-regarded firm or in-house is important, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. A commercially-minded approach is essential, rather than a purely black-letter law perspective.
