Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lawyer to join an experienced In-House team. Reporting directly to the Deputy General Counsel, this role will focus on supporting commercial activities across multiple business units and M&A initiatives. This is an ideal opportunity for an Associate from a private legal practice looking to transition in-house and play a pivotal role in the strategic growth of our firm.
Assist in the structuring, negotiation, and execution of merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions.Provide legal support for commercial agreements, joint ventures, partnerships, and other corporate transactions.Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations affecting corporate activities. This includes supporting compliance and disclosures.Collaborate with external advisors and internal stakeholders to facilitate due diligence processes.Provide research and support for discovery for any disputes or litigation matters which arise.Contribute to the management of corporate governance and policy matters.Offer proactive legal advice on potential risks in business strategies and decisions.Proactively develop relationships with business units to provide consistent and ad-hoc legal support to clients. The Successful Applicant 4-8 years of qualified experience in corporate and commercial law, specifically with a focus on M&A.Prior experience in a private legal practice, with exposure to in-house processes preferred.Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.Excellent negotiation and drafting capabilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
