In-House Lawyer

Details of the offer

Operating since 1938, Linfox Armaguard Group has evolved from a cash-in-transit business to a leading secure currency supply chain and technology solutions enterprise. Trusted by our customers in banking, retail, hospitality, medical and government, we offer unrivalled reach to every corner of Australia and New Zealand. Our reputation is built on a culture of safety, underpinned by a commitment to robust security policies, procedures, and systems. We are committed to ongoing development of our people and encourage career progression at every opportunity. Expect this and more when you join Linfox Armaguard Group.
What does the job look like? We have a 12-month maternity leave opportunity for a solutions-focused Lawyer to join the Legal team. Reporting to the General Counsel, the successful candidate will join an established legal team that works collaboratively to provide a responsive and effective legal service across the various business units in the Group. Key areas include:
Negotiating a broad range of general commercial contracts and ensuring Armaguard's Group members' commercial and legal interests are properly represented in binding and enforceable contractual documents. Providing legal advice and assistance to the Armaguard Group to ensure that deliverables are achieved with minimum risk. M&A completion and transition activity. A broad range of legal work from low value customer contracts, key supplier arrangements (including technology agreements) through to major financial institution contracts. Are you the one? We are looking for an experienced candidate, capable of working autonomously to assist the business to manage an appropriate balance of commercial and legal risk. You can demonstrate:
Law degree and admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction. Strong commercial negotiation skills and the ability to influence key stakeholders. Ability to manage competing priorities. Experience in the areas of M&A, IT, financial services or banking. Project management, analysis and problem-solving skills. Self-sufficiency in relation to document preparation, diary management and matter/contract management. An ability and desire to complete legal work in the most cost-effective manner (i.e. most work is conducted in-house rather than briefed to external lawyers). Sound like you?
