Details of the offer

About AGIG Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns and operates one of Australia's largest gas infrastructure businesses supplying more than two million customers across every Australian mainland state and the Northern Territory. AGIG owns approximately 34,000kms of gas distribution pipelines, 5000kms of Gas Transmission Pipeline assets and the second largest Gas Storage Facility in Australia. AGIG is part of the CK Group, global energy infrastructure business active in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Europe, Canada and Hong Kong. Our Vision Our vision is to be the leading gas infrastructure business in Australia, and our values are at the forefront of what our business does. With a focus on integrity, an emphasis on our team and a culture of respect, we are accountable, transparent in our performance, and we deliver results. This Role This newly created role will allow the right lawyer to join our commercially astute legal team, based in our Melbourne CBD offices. Adding value to the business by providing hands-on advice across a range of commercial issues, and being involved in cutting edge projects, you will enjoy working with and supporting the key decision makers of the business. Guided by our General Counsel and mentored by Senior Legal Counsel, you will advise and negotiate contracts, prepare and advise on transaction documents, be exposed to large projects and construction, including renewable gas projects underpinning AGIG's low carbon vision, work on regulatory and competition law matters. The Lawyers we Seek This role will suit lawyers with front end experience and training gained in leading law firms or in-house teams with around 4-8 PQE, and an interest in complex contractual and project work and high-end advisory matters. You will need to be an Australian based lawyer with a current practising certificate and quality experience and academics. The Benefits This role offers a rare chance in the Melbourne market to join a significant and complex business with a past history of strong growth, and future expansion plans. With mentoring on tap from quality lawyers, interactions with switched-on senior executives, and exposure to large projects, it stands out as a career making in-house move. It will allow you to use your legal skills in a commercial manner, and contribute to the success of the business as a whole. A healthy salary package is on offer. How to Apply Applications and enquiries can be made in confidence to our retained consultant, Paul Burgess, via ****** or on 03 8676 0372. This role is exclusive to Burgess Paluch and all direct applications will be forwarded to us.
