Responsibilities
Direct teaching of groups and individual students Develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum programs Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps, and excursions Undertake non-teaching supervisory duties Engage in critical reflection and inquiry to improve teaching effectiveness Contribute to school programs beyond the classroom as experience increases
Skills Required
Registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching Knowledge of relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy integration Experience in planning and implementing high impact teaching strategies Ability to monitor and assess student learning using data to inform practice Strong interpersonal and communication skills Experience in establishing collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader community Personal attributes: perseverance, humility, collaboration, improvement focus Ability to balance high expectations with inclusivity and positive education practices
