Networks & Systems Administration (Information & Communication Technology) Working closely with the Business Manager, the ICT Manager is responsible for leading Covenant Christian School's internal Tech Serve ICT/AV team of engineers with additional support from a third-party IT provider.
You will have strong relational and technical skills that enhance team leadership and the ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve escalated and/or complex issues without requiring immediate external support.
The school seeks someone with a comprehensive, hands-on understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, Wi Fi, and advanced systems integrations and automations, with recent professional development in these areas.
Working with an established and effective team, you will model the effective service delivery of the school's IT systems, ensuring end-users are supported with empathy and patience.

Ability to identify, develop and implement time-saving workflows and automations, including scripting and creating custom queries through various database technologies.
Ability to work independently and as part of larger teams, prioritise service requests, and communicate with clarity.
Experience managing projects will be an asset.
Experience in or certification in service delivery frameworks (such as ITIL).
Familiarity with key platforms including Edumate, Canvas, Microsoft 365, Share Point, Teams, Azure, JAMF Pro, MS SCCM, VMWare, and Wireless/Networking.
Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting cutting-edge technology solutions.
Demonstrated success in delivering multiple projects.
Experienced in networks and security appliances, particularly in enterprise environments & VLAN.
Experience with Routing & Switching technologies.
Strong proficiency in Windows Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Microsoft 365 Exchange, Microsoft 365, and virtualisation technologies.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, Cloud Technologies, and IT security.
Experience in managing and supporting Microsoft 365 suite of products including: Azure, Azure Active Directory, Entra, Cyber Security, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Conditional Access, Share Point, Teams, etc.
Beneficial but not required, migrating infrastructure (servers and appliances) to cloud.
Experienced with multi-server infrastructure, including virtualization and application clusters.
Experienced with writing and updating documentation.
Preferable but not essential, education sector experience.
Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
Valid Working with Children Certificate.
General Duties Lead the Tech Serve team in their ICT support of students, staff, and parents to meet educational and business objectives.
Develop internal SLAs against which effective service might be measured.
Analyse workflows from a user perspective and design and develop effective workflow process automations across the school.
Seek continual improvements in our service delivery framework and objectives.
Assist in the training and education of staff and students in the effective use of relevant digital technologies.
Analyse, troubleshoot and problem-solve issues faced by end users, communicating effectively through the process.
Contribute to the teaching and learning outcomes of the school by viewing each interaction as an opportunity for learning.
Liaise with a range of vendors regarding purchasing, maintenance, and support.
Contribute to the development of a culture of data security, privacy, and compliance.
Develop and maintain internal documentation and training resources for end users.
Any other duties as requested by the Principal and/or the Business Manager.
Location Located on 3.5 hectares in leafy Belrose in NSW, Covenant Christian School is 19 kilometres north-east of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of Northern Beaches Council.
With around 940 enrolled students across Prep to Year-12, we currently employ around 150 full-time and part-time staff, plus further casual staff, with all staff being active participants in their local Christian churches.

Review the status of tickets on a regular basis g.
Develop and model effective change management practices Provide technical support for jobs escalated by other Tech Serve staff: a.
Action escalated tickets from the helpdesk system b.
Develop escalation processes in line with ITIL standards c.
Ensure all jobs are closed meeting agreed criteria d.
Develop and maintain accuracy of knowledge base articles for Tech Serve staff Develop workflow process automations: a.
Investigate workflow needs with key stakeholders across the school b.
Manage and implement workflow improvement projects c.
Develop workflows and application integrations which add value to existing processes d.
