OSM People is currently looking for candidates for the role of Hydraulics/Mechanical Control Technician.

The Hydraulic/Mechanical Controls Technician role will predominantly be based offshore.
Responsibilities: Interpret mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic engineering drawings.
Using measuring and recording equipment.
Working with high pressures and pressures generating equipment.
Service and repair of equipment as required.
Inspect, troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues as required.
Overhauling and testing pumps, motors and control valves.
Create detailed service reports, maintain accurate records, complete all paperwork, test procedures, risk assessments and toolbox talk to a very high standard.
Provide support to other trades/disciplines where required.
Carry out maintenance and repairs of subsea controls equipment, including but not restricted to the likes of Work Over control Systems, Reels, Umbilical's, Sheaves, Pumps, pressure containing vessels and flushing units.
Installation, hook-up, function check and running of subsea controls equipment, including but not restricted to the likes of Work Over control Systems, Reels, Umbilical's, Sheaves, Pumps, pressure containing vessels and flushing units.
Ability to build and carry out modifications of subsea controls equipment, including but not restricted to the likes of Work Over control Systems, Reels, Umbilical's, Sheaves, Pumps, pressure containing vessels and flushing units.
Hydro test & Flush surface, subsea, controls and wellhead equipment.
When qualified gas test surface and subsea equipment.
Lead and assist with customer site integration testing of surface and subsea wellhead and controls equipment.
When required, dedicated to major customer projects.
Assist with the inspection of equipment.
Maintain the work package, signing up route cards, signing procedures and labelling work package evidence, IE charts and flushing samples.
Be responsible for their own safety and the safety of others within the workplace, working in a safe, tidy and efficient manner, assisting in maintaining safety within the workplace, tidying work areas during and after operations.
