Based in Newcastle, the Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving assigned sales targets, margins, and optimum profitability through the development of both domestic and commercial sales channels within Northern NSW for existing and new business.As a direct report to the State Manager you will:Assist in the development and execution of the State's business activities for the achievement of short and long term business/policy objectives, increased profit and/or market share;Effectively manage the sales team to ensure sales targets and objectives are met, including management of performance and staff development;Have established relationships with all sectors of the HVAC industry including commercial, contractors, dealers, and specialist consultants;Assist in the timely preparation of the State's budgets, reports, and forecasts;Maintain necessary contact with customers, industry associations, and government representatives to achieve the objectives of the State.As the ideal candidate, you will have previous working experience in sales with Consulting Engineers, Contractors, and Government Engineers where customer service is the key to success as well as:Proven team management experience to drive staff to achieve sales targets;Proven ability to achieve sales targets through growth;Relevant tertiary or trade qualifications in air conditioning-related fields in conjunction with appropriate sales experience (an advantage);Additional studies in or completion of Engineering/Marketing/Business Management Certificate/Associate Diploma/Degree (an advantage);The ability to build and maintain relationships through effective communication across all levels both internal and external;Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential; SAP is an advantage;Current valid full unrestricted Drivers License.Apart from joining a global organisation that is undergoing growth within Australia, you will be offered a fully maintained 'tool of trade vehicle' or 'car allowance', an attractive base salary plus a generous incentive scheme and potential for career advancement within the sales team.
