About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our School community, commencing in Term 1, 2025.

In this key role, reporting to the Head of Humanities, the successful candidate will inspire students' love for the humanities through engaging, inquiry-based lessons that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and a deeper understanding of the world.

To be successful in this opportunity you will require: Current VIT Registration. Previous experience teaching Humanities across years 7 - 12. Experience in teaching VCE Legal Studies and/or Politics, preferred but not essential. A current knowledge of Australian Curriculum imperatives as they impact on Humanities. Knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and willingness to embrace the St Catherine's Teaching for Thinking culture. Well-developed classroom management strategies which enhance student engagement and outcomes. An active supporter of and contributor to a collegial work environment. Demonstrated innovative use of ICT to enrich learning. Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the School at all times. Why work for us?
