This unique opportunity reports to the HR Director, CAM, and partners with the leadership team of the Catholic Diocese of Sandhurst (CDOS). To build and maintain relationships with their client group, the HRP will need to regularly attend the Bendigo-based office.About the Role:The Human Resources (HR) Partner plays a dynamic, high-impact role, collaborating with clergy, parish staff, and volunteers to deliver effective HR advice and quality services. This generalist position requires a solid understanding of legislation, employee relations, and the design of people management processes to support the delivery of Parish and Mission services in the Sandhurst Diocese.Key Responsibilities:Policy Development and Implementation: Develop and implement exemplary human resource and workplace management policies and practices in the Sandhurst chancery and parishes, to further the Church's mission.Recruitment and Compliance: Collaborate with diocesan leaders and parish priests to guide the recruitment, retention, formation, and development of parish employees and volunteers, ensuring adherence to all relevant legislation and regulations.Mediation and Conflict Resolution: Mediate and resolve employee relations issues; conduct thorough and objective investigations when necessary.Partnership and Collaboration: Foster and strengthen partnerships to bridge gaps between management, parishes, and employees through effective human resources strategies.Project Work and Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with the broader CAM HR team on projects and initiatives to advance organisational goals and drive continuous improvement.Guidance & Support: Prepare, review, and distribute correspondence, reports, documents, agendas and presentations ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to organisational standards.About you:Degree qualified in HR, ER, or a related field.Proven experience in a similar position demonstrating expertise and in-depth understanding in contemporary human resource management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to overcoming obstacles.Collaborative mindset, contributing effectively to a positive and inclusive team environment.Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work quickly and efficiently.High integrity, honesty, and confidentiality, with an awareness and appreciation for Catholic Social Teaching.National Police record and Working with Children Checks (essential).What We Offer:Career Growth: This role provides exceptional opportunity for professional growth within a renowned organisation.
