We are looking for an experienced HR / OHS Manager to join our team at our Bundall Head Office.
This is a true HR Generalist role. You will be managing the entire employee experience from recruitment and onboarding, performance management through to offboarding. Reporting to the COO, you will be part of the Management Team supporting business success and an engaged culture.
How You'll Make a DifferencePart of the Management Team and working broadly across the entire business, you will take ownership with the following functions:
Human ResourcesProvide guidance and support for Managers in effective people management practicesProvide timely and accurate advice on People and Culture related mattersBe a confidential sounding board to staff on HR and OHS related matters and provide support to Managers and Team LeadersSupport Managers and Team Leaders through the performance review and development cycle, including Performance Improvement PlansEnsure compliance with relevant licenses, certificates and qualificationsLearning, Development and PerformanceManage our highly well-regarded apprenticeship programSupport Managers and Team Leaders in the execution of induction and training, build organisational capability; ensure all Mandatory/Compliance training is completedRecruitmentReview and update Position Descriptions (where necessary)Lead the recruitment process including job advertisements, participating in interviews, ensuring the hiring of suitable and capable talent to meet role, function and business requirementsArrange and complete reference checks, Letters of Engagement and Employment AgreementsPolicies, Processes and ProceduresEnsure Company Welcome Booklet is kept up to dateEnsure timely rollout and education of new and updated Policies and proceduresEnsure employee remuneration is paid in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Employment Agreements and are compliant with appropriate Modern Award, Enterprise Bargaining Agreement and the Fair Work ActAdvise and support Managers on all employment relations matters, managing grievance and misconduct claims in accordance with Company Policy, including end to end investigations, and liaise with external advisors (where necessary)OHSManage the administration of any Workers' Compensation claims and Return to Work Coordination for any staff returning after extended leaveProvide high level advice and guidance on safety issues and queries to Managers and Team Leaders, ensuring they are supported in fulfilling their WHS dutiesDesign and implement WHS Policies and Procedures across the organisationManage safety training and Inductions as well as all relevant Certification and Licensing requirements in accordance with relevant legislationReport on relevant WHS metrics, recommendations and opportunitiesManage and coordinate workplace investigationsProvide advice on Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)Develop and maintain safety reporting tools and registersOtherFleet management through our cloud systemsReview timesheets and payroll for accuracy and compliance to Fair Work and AwardsAbout YouYou also have relevant professional experience to quickly and confidently build upon an existing People & Culture framework and take initiative in delivering P&C solutions.You have high emotional intelligence, integrity, and maturity.You have high communication skills and a passion for people – adept at managing both up and down to problem solve across a business.You also have contemporary technology experience, managing the HR platforms (intelliHR) and other related systems to extract maximum benefit from data sets.About the BusinessA local success story, SPL Security Solutions is a Gold Coast based company with offices in Ballina and Brisbane has 90 employees.
