As the HR Officer you will work within the HR Services team which is responsible for delivering high quality Human Resources support and advice to clients. This position is a key member of the team delivering a range of human resource management policy and advice services to staff and senior management within the QPS. The position operates closely with the HR Services Manager.


The core capability requirements for this role are: • Practical application of HR legislation, guidelines, policies, and frameworks and provide sound advice.
• Contribute to and support the implementation of improved HR practices and processes, including developing and administering Microsoft Office 365 solutions.
• Coordinate and facilitate forums and committees, including the delivery of professional secretariat services as required.
• Assist with the coordination, development and review of submissions, reports and other correspondence to provide high quality oral and written briefings to senior management.
• Develop and maintain professional networks and communication channels with internal and external stakeholders.
• Actively apply problem solving approaches to enhance HR and corporate governance outcomes.
