Catering to both domestic and international markets, Western Meat Packers has a long-standing legacy of ensuring a consistent range of quality meat products are delivered to our clients - consistently, efficiently, and reliably!JOB DESCRIPTIONThis critical role will suit an experienced HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor, with experience in managing the end-end HR & Recruitment function for Western Meat Packers Group, consisting of several entities. You will be the leading HR resource for the business and part of the management team (SLT).Reporting to the Head of Site, you will be responsible for the delivery of HR expertise, operational advice, and generalist HR/IR support to Group. The role will work closely with the management team to implement effective people management practices, including performance management, provide positive and proactive advice regarding the resolution of workplace and employee disputes and grievances, and termination of employment.The position will also review compliance matters and best practice HR initiatives and recommend improvements to the management team.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Daily Operational HR:Facilitate development and evaluation of position descriptionsEnd-end recruitment, including employee onboardingMaintaining employee documents and general record keepingUpdate staff movements in HRISMonitor the integration and performance of new employees to support their development and contribution.Ensure compliance with all EBA/Awards.Ensure Workcover cases are managed, working closely with the Injury Management CoordinatorHR Advice & Support:Advise the management team as well as the general staff in the resolution of HR/IR issues and enquiries.Provide advice and support on Company policies and procedures, relevant employment awards, legislation, and practices.Manage the resolution and finalisation of conflicts and grievances in accordance with policies and procedures.Explore and provide advice to the management team regarding an EBA/ Awards for the group.Provide award interpretation advice and when needed seek advice from the group's external IR legal advisors.Other Duties:Review and devise group policies and proceduresKeep up to date with new or amended legislation, and actively oversee implementation of HR projectsAttend and participate in morning Production meetings, presenting absenteeism figuresCoordinate monthly toolbox meetingsOversee HR initiatives eg: Employee of the MonthUndertake other duties as directed by the HOS and CFO within your area of skill and expertise.JOB CRITERIAIdeally you will have the following experience, skills, and personal attributes to be successful in the role:Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Business or Industrial Relations or equivalent work experience.A minimum of 5 to 7 years relevant HR experience preferably with an FMCG environment.Proficiency in Microsoft office suite of applications.Excellent attention to detail.Ability to work to tight timeframes in a fast paced ever environment.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.Effective coaching skills.Friendly and personable - ability to connect with people.Ability and willingness to travel to Western Meat Processors (Cowaramup).MORE INFORMATIONAt WMPG we offer a positive workplace culture, close team networks and a supportive work environment.
