About the Role: The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading Industry Skills Australia's (ISA) HR function.
Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Services, the role is primarily responsible for managing the employment lifecycle, the organisation's employee relations policies, processes and procedures, to ensure that the business can attract, retain, develop and manage a highly engaged and committed workforce.
The role will support the senior leadership team in identifying and implementing best practice HR solutions across a range of human resources functions including workforce planning, managing for performance, industrial relations, work, health and safety, and staff development.
Responsibilities: Managing recruitment requirements including creating and posting job advertisements, shortlisting applicants, arranging job interviews and decision-making processes.
Coordinating the employee life cycle including letters of offer, on-boarding new starters, variations, and maintaining employee records, from on-boarding through to termination & separation documentation.
Developing and ensuring successful implementation of human resource policies, procedures, and processes ensuring that they are legislatively compliant and reflective of current best practice.
Managing HR projects to improve the human resource function within areas of the business identified by the Executive Team as required.
Ensuring organisational HR compliance with all existing legal and government requirements including workplace health and safety, anti-discrimination, equal employment opportunity, national employment standards, and fair work.
Supporting the delivery of an organisation capability and capacity development program which is strategically linked to business needs and addresses issues such as workforce development, organisation design, employee retention, and change management.
There may be interstate travel required.
About You: To be successful in this role, you must have a degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience successfully managing a human resource function.
You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of contemporary human resources issues and have a strong working knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
High level verbal and written communication, interpersonal, advisory negotiation, and problem-solving skills are paramount.
Experience working with HR platforms, Employment Hero is desirable.
