To support our people and culture activities, we are looking for a new Human Resources Consultant to join our team at our Kedron Head Office, supporting a number of sites across Brisbane and both coasts.
About the role As HR Consultant, you will play a key role in providing accurate and timely HR advice, support and consultancy services to managers and employees in the delivery of the organisation's strategic objectives.
From recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and providing general HR support, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact within our HR function of the business, whilst developing your own HR skills and knowledge.
Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment and selection, induction and onboarding, performance management, remuneration and benefits, compliance, learning and development. Collaborate with and support hiring managers to coordinate end to end recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, and interviewing. Provide advice and support to managers and employees in employee relations matters including grievances, performance management and disciplinary processes in line with policy, procedure and best practice. Contribute to the maintenance and maximisation of the HRIS system. Play an active part in planning and establishing the HR strategy, using HR data to identify trends and make recommendations for and participate in the continuous improvement of HR practices. Facilitate and coordinate training and development programs for the business. Assist the Head of People, Safety and Culture in running HR consulting projects on an ad hoc basis. About you: You are an aspiring HR generalist looking to grow into a Management role. You hold a Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a relevant field. 1+ years of HR generalist experience, including exposure to employment legislation and advisory services. Ability to balance conflicting priorities within a changing environment. Strong communication and administrative skills. Experience with digital onboarding and HRIS systems.
